Position Overview:

This position will evolve as CMLU moves through program planning and into a supervisory role within the production team.
What You Will Do:
- Perform technical work package reviews and fact finding.
- Support production, facilities, and infrastructure planning.
- Support analysis of production personnel requirements and technical qualifications.
- Participate in CMLU organization structure planning for supervision and support teams.
- Work with Leonardo Helicopters to support the development of CMLU specific training plans and On-the-Job-Training.
- Manage tooling and equipment set-up including the auditing of tooling lists, the design of tooling cabinets, the development of equipment transition plans and oversight for tooling acquisition.
- Support efforts to achieve LHUK Supplier Qualification (QRS-01) as required.
- Draft reports and correspondence as well as present information as required to various IMP and/or LHUK stakeholders.
- Support Program Risk Management through the identification of risks and mitigation options.
- Liaise with all IMP Depts on technical matters as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director, CMLU Production.
What You Will Bring:
- Education: Graduate Transport Canada Recognized Aircraft Maintenance Program or equivalent DND training
- Must be conversant with Aerospace terminology, understanding of drawings, aircraft and aircraft systems and Aircraft Maintenance Policies and Procedures.
- Able to collaborate with team members while operating in a fast moving and dynamic work environment.
- Must possess good self-discipline and an ability to work independently when required.
- Be comfortable working under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Able to envision how Production work can/will be done to enhance planning efforts and maximize efficiency.
- Experience working with the AW101/CH149 Helicopter or in an aircraft manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures related to AS9100 standards is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, overhaul, and manufacture with 2 years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.
- Must be able to use a personal computer and be familiar with using Microsoft Office.
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
