Position Overview:

IMP is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Configuration Management Supervisor to oversee configuration and data management processes. The Configuration Management Supervisor will ensure the integrity and accuracy of configuration data, supporting the engineering department and other departments as required.
 

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate and manage all configuration management activities, including planning, identification, control, status accounting, and audit.
  • Ensure the integrity of configuration data by maintaining accurate records and documentation of all configuration items.
  • Implement and manage change control processes to ensure that all changes to configuration items are properly documented, evaluated, approved, and implemented.
  • Provide accurate accounting of configuration item status and configuration change documentation.
  • Conduct configuration management audits to verify compliance with the configuration management plan and identify areas for improvement.
  • Interact with various teams, including engineering, maintenance, and operations, to ensure proper implementation of the configuration management plan.
  • Maintain and manage tools and systems used for configuration management, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective.
  • Prepare detailed reports on configuration management activities, including status updates, change logs, and audit findings, and present them to stakeholders.
  •  Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in configuration management.
     

What You Will Bring:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent, plus two years post-secondary training in a related technical field.
  • Three years hands on experience in a related technical field with a minimum three years experience in aircraft configuration control and technical data.
  • Three years experience in database development/management is a requirement. 
  • Technical writing skills and experience, combined with a solid technical background.
  • Thorough knowledge of Engineering Administrative procedures and standards.
  • Detailed knowledge of configuration control and drawing standards. 
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Good attention to detail
  • Self motivated and efficient
  • Ability to work with and motivate others
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities in your area.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances.
