Position Overview:
Plans, organizes, directs, and controls maintenance and facilities related tasks that support the upkeep, maintenance and operational status of equipment, shops and workspaces at IMP Aerospace.
What You Will Do:
- Maintain Space Allocation Records and Facilities Layouts
- Coordinate all facilities alterations and gain senior management approval prior to work commencing.
- Work with Programs to forecast and report hangar bay space and equipment requirements and provide options where schedule conflicts occur.
- Plan and coordinate all office move.
- Plan and Coordinate improvement project
- Monitor and track facilities Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks, Maintenance Job Requests (MJR)
- Plan and Coordinate Special events in support of Marketing on an as required basis.
- Perform hangar and facilities inspections.
- Plan and Coordinate work carried out by subcontractors.
- Provide support to the IMP Fire Chief and maintain life system documentation.
- Perform research and generate cost estimates for facilities and equipment upgrades.
- Plan and Coordinate work carried out by subcontractors.
- Work with Continuous Improvement (CI) Dept and assist Maintenance related CI projects.
- Assist the Facilities Manager in the preparation of Departmental Capital Budget and Annual Expense Plans
- Work with Properties Management (IMP Head Office) as required.
- Other duties as directed by Facilities Manager
What You Will Bring:
- Graduate of an Industrial or Mechanical Technology or Engineering Program.
- Familiarity with contracts and planning procedures used in the conduct of Facility maintenance and infrastructure sustainment.
- Proficiency with basic Project Management techniques including scheduling as applied on MS Project, milestone management and EVM concepts.
- Knowledge of Labor Relations and Union environment;
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite application programs, including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, MS Visio and MS Project; ability to write reports and prepare status briefings.
- Experience in Maintenance or Facility Management with at least 3 years exposure to and interfacing with Engineering, Material support organization, Planning and Product Support would be considered an Asset
