Position Overview:
Reporting to the Manager, CMLU Material, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and resolving material related issues for the CMLU program, to ensure uninterrupted assembly of the CH149-615 helicopter on the build line.
What You Will Do:
- In collaboration with the CMLU team, review and prioritize all material supply requirements and closely monitor material demands or requirements that may negatively impact the build schedule.
- Develop solutions to resolve shortages and keep production moving.
- Track statuses of parts outstanding, including customer-owned parts, to feed into the production schedule.
- Log rectifications of material issues to be easily referenced and used in the future.
- Identify items that require re-ordering, liaising with buyers for timely action.
- Work effectively with internal and external customers on material requirements.
- Keep the CMLU team informed on progress and resource (time, people, parts) issues.
- Maintain accurate material demand priority reports.
- Carry out investigations to determine root causes for repetitive supply problems and initiate/recommend corrective action.
- Review/Recommend minimum, maximum and reorder inventory levels for unique items.
- Convene and attend periodic meetings with appropriate employees, supervisors and management to aid in expediting material availability and support, read, understand, comply with, and suggest improvements for company procedures and directives related to material operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehousing, ideally for 3-5 years, though less may be considered.
- Self-motivated, recognizing and addressing issues quickly.
- Ability to maintain relationships and communicate effectively across different stakeholder groups.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Peoplesoft, JD Edwards) would be an asset.
- Familiarity with the ISO9001.2015 and AS9100 quality environments would be an asset.
- Familiarity with International Traffic and Arms Regulation (ITAR) is an asset.
- Eligibility for the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration Program (CGRP). Incumbents must be able to pass and maintain Public Works Government Services Canada (PWGSC) and Transport Canada security clearances.
- Shift work may be a required.
