Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Network Analyst to oversee the availability, security, performance, and overall health of our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and promptly addressing any issues to ensure uninterrupted network operations. They will also keep abreast of new technologies, and plan future improvements to our network.
 

What You Will Do:

  • Perform network design and capacity planning.
  • Conduct research on network products, protocols and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
  • Provides 2nd level technical support to users concerning network system operations.
  • Diagnose problems with network equipment.
  • Configure and program network equipment
  • Maintain and upgrade network equipment.
  • Develop and maintain secure segmentation of our network.
  • Manage network cyber security tools such as micro segmentation.
  • Liaise with corporate team on network aspects of cyber security.
  • Maintain network documentation, including maps, diagrams, processes, and procedures.
  • Identify and implement new enterprise networking related IT technologies that meet business requirements.
  • Be the networking subject matter expert for our IT Coordinators.
  • Create documentation and train the IT team how to use and maintain new technologies. 
  • Manage risks for enterprise networking IT infrastructure, ensure uptime to meet business needs.
  • Manage incidents and requests affecting network related systems.
  • Support and monitor existing infrastructure, perform preventative maintenance work, backup and perform other regular support activities as required.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and support agencies for the ongoing support and maintenance of relevant enterprise systems.
  • Ensure that all work and changes are performed in such a way as to minimize all disruption to existing business use.
  • Build effective working relationships with business line personnel, supporting IT groups, suppliers, and customers.
  • After hours support, as required.
  • Other duties as required.

What You Will Bring:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Diploma in IT System Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years  experience working in enterprise IT infrastructure
  • Understanding of networking technologies and operations is required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to problem solve complex IT issues
  • Advanced Knowledge of VMware and Windows Server.
  • Experience with Windows AD Domain Controller.
  • Knowledge of NIST cyber security framework or similar would be an asset. 
  • Excellent customer service skills, striving to improve services to meet customer and business needs. 
  • Demonstrates initiative in looking for root causes

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 8S activities in your area.
  • Incumbents must be able to pass and maintain Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and Transport Canada security clearances.
  • The successful applicants will be eligible to meet requirements for the U.S. International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP)
  • Applicant must be able to pass and maintain a Level II (Secret) security clearance with the Department of National Defense.
