Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of aerospace materials and components for the P-3 aircraft operations within the Air and Marine Operations (AMO) division. The P-3 aircraft are crucial in disrupting transnational criminal organizations by providing persistent aerial surveillance over vast maritime smuggling routes. The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure that all necessary materials and inventory are available to support these critical operations.
What You Will Do:
- Team Supervision: Work planning, managing warehouse staff and assigning tasks;
- Manages and monitors personnel training and orientation of staff on material handling equipment, health & safety, standard plant procedures;
- Logistics Coordination: Overseeing the timely receipt, storage, security, shipping, kitting and issue of material;
- Inventory Management: Ensuring accurate tracking and storage of aerospace parts, tools, and equipment;
- Adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards specific to the aerospace industry;
- Quality: Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure they meet quality and safety standards;
- Process Optimization: Implementing efficient workflows and warehouse management systems to improve productivity;
- Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of inventory, shipments, and compliance reports;
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that warehouse equipment is in good working condition and meets safety standards;
- Complete accurate stocktaking cycle counts as per schedules;
- Set/achieve performance targets (metrics) and holding staff accountable for meeting the performance targets;
- Managing company-owned and customer-supplied material and equipment
- Ensure that warehouse locations are properly maintained with respect to cleanliness, packaging, location, identification, labeling, segregation, security and safe working conditions;
What You Will Bring:
- Education: Post Secondary Education preferred;
- Minimum seven (7) years experience in Logistics & Supply management, 3 years in a supervisory capacity, or a suitable combination of education, training, civil/military experience with a solid record of achievement;
- Related professional designation preferred but not required (e.g. CSCP, CPSM, LSCM, etc.);
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and warehouse workflows; Knowledge of property provisions for US Government property an asset;
- Familiarity with aerospace standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements;
- Excellent computer skills / Microsoft office Suite (Excel, Access, Word);
- Proven understanding of ERP systems and specifically MRP;
- Ability to manage, motivate, and train a team to maintain productivity and compliance;
- Clear and effective communication with staff, suppliers, and program management;
- Ensuring that internal and external customers receive accurate and timely service;
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies. Continually focusing on your individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your work and to fully comply with all Federal Health and Safety Legislation;
- Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 5S activities in your area;
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for CBP Background Investigation, DoD Security Clearance; All employees must be willing to subject themselves to random drug tests
