Job Description
The Contracts & Proposals Administrator, reporting to the Director of the Contracts & Proposals department, plays a pivotal role in supporting Cascade Aerospace Inc.’s (Cascade) business development, operations, engineering, and program management teams. This role is integral to ensure that contractual obligations and proposal processes align with Cascade’s risk management protocols and financial objectives.
While this position is situated within the aerospace industry, the core competencies required – contractual diligence, legal acumen, and administrative precision – are universally applicable across sectors. The principles of contract law, negotiation, compliance, and risk mitigation transcend industry boundaries, making professionals with a strong legal and contractual background exceptionally well-suited for this role, regardless of prior aerospace experience.
Major Responsibilities & Duties

- Support internal departments in fulfilling contractual and proposal-related responsibilities.
- Continuously develop skills through professional learning and industry engagement.
Contracts and Proposals Administration
- Enforce Cascade’s contract and proposal policies and procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive summaries of executed agreements, highlighting obligations and risks.
- Maintain and manage the Cascade Contracts & Proposals Database, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to contracts and proposals.
- Ensure timely renewals and amendments in line with Contract Management policies.
- Monitor legal and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and optimize business outcomes.
- Provide cross-functional support, leveraging legal and contractual expertise to enhance operational efficiency.
Business Supporting Functions
- Assist finance and internal teams with invoice validation and payment processes.
- Collaborate across departments to compile data supporting contract management and business needs.
Compliance and Conduct
- Adhere to all safety, security, and HR policies as outlined by Cascade.
- Perform additional duties as required, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Core Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities under pressure with professionalism.
- Proven discretion in handling confidential business information.
- A highly skilled professional who can immediately contribute and operate independently with minimal training, leveraging core competencies and contracts expertise from day one.
Education
- Minimum: Certificate in Legal Administrative Studies/Legal Office Administration or equivalent is required
- Diploma in Legal Studies, Paralegal, Business Law, or other relevant discipline considered an asset
Experience
- Ideally, 1-3 years of experience dealing with high-volume contracts/proposals administration in a fast-paced environment
- While aerospace experience is advantageous, the foundational skills in contract management and legal compliance are highly transferable and essential across industries.
