Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager, Data Configuration & Process, the Data/Configuration Management Coordinator provides document and data management support to related DAO/ATO engineering groups, specializing in publishing, quality assurance and audits, template development & support, recordkeeping, and configuration management support.

Major Responsibilities & Duties

  • Responsible for publishing all Engineering external deliverables.
  • Supports development of practices and checklists to ensure continuous Quality assurance on all outputs.
  • Prepares, tracks and records transmittals internally, to customers, and to vendors.
  • File sharing and SharePoint Administrator.
  • Ensures data structure on servers and all other data storage repositories are accurate and maintained. Provides solutions to improving data integrity on all data storage repositories and advise personnel on data management processes and standards.
  • Supports the development, standardization, and maintenance of all templates, checklists, and forms.  
  • Keeps track of all Engineering vacation and out-of-office days.
  • Prepares welcome packages for all new hires. Manages off-boarding process and supports training needs, as required.
  • Organizes, manages and communicates activities for engineering personnel via electronic file sharing and hard copies.
  • Acts as backup to Airworthiness Coordinator, when required.
  • Other duties as required.

  • Working knowledge of aerospace standards and quality management systems
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in a team environment
  • Excellent self-starter skills adaptable to a complex multi-discipline work environment
  • Working knowledge of industry ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of Engineering Drawings
  • Some graphical software experience, an asset

Education

Post-Secondary education in Document/Data Management or equivalent experience and training

Experience

2+ years’ experience in the aviation industry or federally/provincially regulated transportation industry
