Job Description

We are looking for a Human Resources Advisor to join our Human Resources team. This HR Advisor will primarily be responsible for recruitment, onboarding and labour relations and will support other general HR functions, project initiatives, and programs.

This position requires Controlled Goods clearance immediately upon hire.

Major Responsibilities & Duties

  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment, selection and orientation of union and non-union hires;
  • Provide continued onboarding support to new hires and act as a point of contact throughout integration;
  • Provide first level Collective Agreement interpretation;
  • Provide advice and counsel to both union and exempt employees, including management as required;
  • Participate in setting departmental goals and initiatives and actively monitor department performance against the set goals and initiatives;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education


Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, or related field

Experience

  • 2 years’ experience as Human Resources Coordinator or Generalist
  • Experience in a unionized environment considered an asset
  • Previous experience in HRIS or ERP systems considered an asset
