Job Description

 

The ILS Engineer is to provide integrated logistics support analysis for various Cascade Aerospace programs and ensure compliance with all customer and company requirements.

 

Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Government Security Clearances.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) expertise to various Cascade Aerospace projects by completing different analysis including Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), Sparing Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Obsolescence Analysis and Life Cycle Cost (LCC)
  • Review and/or author ILS analysis reports; ensure technically accurate reports and deliverables
  • Research engineering drawings, technical specifications, equipment catalogues and other source data, as required, for preparing publication changes, and revisions
  • Review the Technical Data Packages (TDP) to ensure that the technical data reflects the latest system/equipment configuration and that the data is accurately indexed and identified
  • Provide support to System & Project Engineering/Program Management in resolution of technical problems, technical accuracy reviews and design
  • Assist in the evaluation of ILS proposals from suppliers
  • Communicate and cooperate with customers on matters of technical data support

Core Skills

    1.  
  • Proven knowledge of applicable military standards and specifications, e.g., MIL-PRF-49506, MIL-STD-1388, MIL-STD-973 as they pertain to the aerospace industry
  • Proven knowledge of aircraft systems and airworthiness/safety issues
  • Proven knowledge of ISO/IEC 15288-2008 Systems Engineering – System Life Cycle Processes
  • Strong computer skills within Microsoft Office (including high level of proficiency using Excel and Access)

Education

 

University Degree/Diploma (Engineer/Technologist) in a technical field related to aviation discipline including mechanical, electrical, electronic, or equivalent.

Experience

 

10+ years’ relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years in Integrated Logistics Support. Experience with the production, management and acquisition of the Technical Data Package including technical publications, documentations, engineering drawings and associated lists.
