Job Description

Joining Cascade means a future with a team of dedicated professionals in a dynamic specialty aerospace and defence company with a standard of providing customers with quality services and products. Cascade Aerospace is looking for a dedicated Induction Planner who is responsible to support a new project.

This position requires immediate Controlled Goods clearance, therefore, only Canadian Residents or Permanent Residents will be considered at this time.

Major Responsibilities & Duties

  • Strive to consistently act in a manner in which reflects Cascade Aerospace’s culture and values.
    • Provide timely and accurate responses to the customers regarding future programs, set the program standards through participation in the initial maintenance event and ensure program needs are met. Interface with the customer as required gaining a complete understanding of all the customer requirement
    • Present the check package to the customer, justify costs and time allocations assigned and make revisions if needed
  • Prepare work packages, set up project in ERP system, create baseline schedule, and set up baseline budget in ERP
  • System for repetitive projects
  • Identify, initiate, and participate departmental & inter-departmental continuous improvement activities, this include Task Cards updates, processes/work instructions updated, and system applications betterment.
  • Provide timely and accurate estimates and planning for new program(s).
    • Analyze customer contract and work package to determine an accurate cost estimate, the time it will take and the labour hours required
    • Estimate the material costs needed to complete the project
    • Analyze the customer's budget and ensure it is acceptable to the company
  • Participate in the financial aspects of the customer’s initial maintenance visit. Other duties as required.
    • Bill customers for the first maintenance event and ensure all billing information is reviewed and accurate
  •   Provide technical leadership to Production Planners and Production throughout project lifecycle.

  • Support Business Development activities as required.

Core Skills

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
  • Proficient in MS Projects is mandatory
  • Ability to coordinate several projects/assignments at one time
  • Intermediate ability to use Word, Excel, Access and database programs
  • Good Project Management, Interpersonal and Technical Skills
  • Good Customer Service Skills

Education

  • Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance (Approved by TCA) or Engineering Technician Diploma

Experience

  • 5+ years' experience planning maintenance on transport category aircraft.
