Job Description

 

The Payroll and Benefits Reporting Coordinator is responsible for maintaining payroll and benefit reporting processes, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of payroll/personnel data.  This role requires an understanding of payroll systems, data analysis and reporting tools. This role also acts as Payroll backup, and provides HR administrative support.

 

This position requires Controlled Goods clearance immediately upon hire.

Major Responsibilities & Duties

 

Data Management

  1.  
  • Collect, compile and organize payroll data from various sources, including ERP systems, HRIS and benefit providers
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data through regular audits and validation processes
  • Maintain comprehensive records of payroll information and reports for reference and compliance purposes
  • Update, maintain and audit our employee benefit programs, both through the HRIS and the respective benefit and pension websites

 

Reporting and Analysis

  1.  
  • Develop and generate standard and adhoc payroll reports using reporting tools and software
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to internal stakeholders, management and regulatory agencies as required
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance and other departments to gather data and ensure accuracy in reporting
  • Provide support and guidance to stakeholders on payroll reporting-related inquiries and issues
  • Create and maintain KPI data for company and departmental initiatives

 

Process Improvement

  1.  
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR/Payroll reporting processes and enhance efficiency
  • Assist in compiling and completing Cascade Aerospace’s Annual Information Return for Revenue Canada and OSFI, regarding payroll statistics
  • Assist in completing WCB and benefit remittances, quarterly and at year-end for WCB premiums, monthly for benefits and bi-weekly for pensions
  • Complete and submit Statistics Canada Business Payroll Survey on a monthly basis

 

 Payroll support and Benefits Administration

  1.  
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll and benefit inquiries
  • Coordinate and facilitate benefit enrollments and changes for new hires and existing employees
  • Calculate and process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist with handling any payroll or benefits discrepancies as they arise

 

Perform other duties as required.

Core Skills

 

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
  • Experience in payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) is a plus – SAP Successfactors

Education

 

Diploma in Accounting or related field

Experience

 

2 years' experience in payroll/benefits administration
