The Opportunity:

IMP’s lawyers work as a partner to our business unit, executive and corporate clients, providing strategic legal advice in a broad variety of sectors: aerospace and defense, private aviation, healthcare, information technology, and private lending. 

What You Will Do:

Supporting a well-established, complex and interesting company with more than 3,000 employees across Canada, this role provides in-depth first-hand exposure to a broad range of business and legal experiences, both within Canada and internationally.  This role also involves providing legal support on a broad variety of legal topics including general corporate/commercial matters, labour and employment law, and compliance.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • You are highly analytical and think strategically to identify and resolve legal and business issues;
  • You bring a pragmatic and results-oriented approach to solving problems, and are able to work both independently and as a member of a team;
  • You have strong communication skills, sound judgement, adaptability, and a “can do” attitude.
  • You are a member of or eligible to apply for admission to the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society;
  • Preferably, you have four or more years’ experience as a practicing lawyer.
