We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Operations Analyst, Managed Services to join our team.
Based at 7051 Bayers Road, Suite 107 Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and reporting to the Director of Managed Services with a dotted-line relationship to the Director of Finance, this full-time permanent role plays a key part in supporting the financial operations of our Managed Services business. The Financial Operations Analyst is responsible for financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting support, operational financial analysis, invoicing oversight, and performance monitoring across Managed Services operations in Atlantic Canada and Ontario. The role works closely with Finance, Managed Services, Professional Services, Advanced Solutions, and external partners to support informed decision-making, optimize financial performance, and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of financial processes.
What You Will Do:
- Support the financial operations of the Managed Services business unit across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Ontario, working closely with the Director of Finance to support financial activities and operational effectiveness.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with financial policies, controls, and reporting requirements while supporting initiatives that optimize business performance
- Support the development of financial strategies, annual budgets, financial plans, and forecasting activities for the Managed Services business unit.
- Provide oversight of customer invoicing activities related to Managed Services and associated Professional Services engagements.
- Assist in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring financial risks while supporting the accuracy and effectiveness of financial management practices.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, reports, and other financial information to support decision-making by the Director of Managed Services and Director of Finance.
- Prepare the monthly Managed Services Income Statement for IMP Solutions Canada (Atlantic Canada and Ontario) and provide reporting and analysis to the Director of Finance.
- Collaborate with Professional Services, Advanced Solutions, and other internal stakeholders, as well as external vendors and business partners, to align financial objectives with overall business goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support new initiatives, operational improvements, and overall business performance.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience.
- Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, or financial operations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial information and support business decision-making.
- Experience preparing financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and financial analyses.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
