Summary

Assemble all inspection packages and required maintenance job instruction for incoming aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Provide estimator with necessary technical documents to prepare quote(s) and obtain supervisor’s approval for hours quoted
  • Prepare inspection packages for incoming aircraft and ensure they match the quotes
  • Update planning schedules and provide technical information for inhouse projects
  • Follow up on various issues (compliance with instructions, technical responses, non-conformities, procedures, etc.)
  • Participate in and contribute to the choice of manufacturing methods and the improvement of production tools
  • Act as technical interface between engineering and production teams
  • Ensure continuous improvement of existing production process and analyse potential technical impacts
  • Manage dashboard to monitor and evaluate work progress
  • Apply and monitor customer constraints and corrective/preventive actions
  • Create and maintain reports to monitor progress of activities and delivery performance* (expected in the future)
  • Conduct training sessions and problem-solving workshops with Production staff to improve overall production and end-product quality
  • Plan product integrity meetings with the Production, Quality Control, Methods and Quality Assurance departments to control and implement the necessary measures, in line with the production cycle analysis* (to be set up in morning meetings if necessary)
  • Support internal and/or external audits

Requirements

  • College Degree
  • 0-3 years’ experience in aircraft methods technical records
  • Computer knowledge and abilities of MS Office and MS Project
  • Good understanding of ATA chapters
  • Familiar with aircraft technical libraries
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Knowledge of CAMP system is an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
