At Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre, we have an immediate opening for a Banquet Houseperson! If you are an enthusiastic team player with an eye for detail, who is committed to ensuring the execution of a spectacular event, we want you!

What You Will Do:

  • Welcome all guests in a professional, and friendly manner. Deliver outstanding customer service to exceed guest expectation and satisfaction
  • Foster and promote friendliness, cleanliness, and teamwork to ensure the enjoyment of guests and the development of repeat business
  • Ensure all function set-up and tear down requirements are completed in conjunction with Oak Island Resort Banquet standards.
  • Attend and participate in pre-service meetings, scheduled operations and training
  • Ensure all assigned shift cleaning procedures are completed

  • Wage: $15.50-$16.00/hr.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Experience in the hotel industry and/or banquets an asset
  • Able to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work flexible hours, including of evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • A friendly and positive attitude
